Theme Days
Afisari: 519 To continue to combine usefulness with pleasure and to learn by playing and feeling good, we started in October 2015 the series of Theme Days.We started with Vegetarians’ Day when we discovered how good the polenta made by us is and how much it takes to make tomato bruschetta for many hungry mouths. We continued with Cleaning Day when we picked up the garbage along the edge of the Arges canal and we reached the conclusion that it does not matter what team wins because it is more important to cherish the good deed and to feel well within yourself. As a reward, we celebrated this accomplishment with fruit dipped in chocolate fondue. On December 5th 2015 we brought our merrily tribute in honor of the Volunteer Day.We started 2016 strong, so in January we had a competition of cleaning the snow mountains in the yard and of making snow angels. In spring, we painted the fence and whitewashed the curbs. In summer, we rearranged the playground in the yard so we can play badminton, as well.In autumn, we celebrated the second edition of the Halloween, giving the opportunity to a new generation of volunteers to get involved in the project management. We promise to look further into finding reasons to meet and to spend enjoyable and useful time together. 5/5 (1) Apreciaza
